User Review: "Savages" is a thriller filled with the feel of past Oliver Stone films that Stone himself wants to get the audience used to again. Using blood, gore, and intense action sequences; "Savages" wants to give you a feel that hasn't been present in many movies this summer. Now let's see if Oliver Stone can regain his former glory and make another cult classic. Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch) are together one of the biggest marijuana dealers in Laguna Beach, California. When a Mexican cartel, led by Elena (Salma Hayek), wants to expand their business upward and offer Ben and Chon a deal, they reject and this forces Elena to send her right hand man Lado (Benicio Del Toro) to kidnap their shared girlfriend, O (Blake Lively). Upon hearing this Ben and Chon agree to comply; but instead with intel from DEA agent Dennis (John Travolta), they concoct a plan to rescue you O and get the cartel off their backs for good. First of all, the tone of the film clearly set in the beginning of the movie in the very first scene. It gave you since of what the movie is going to be like and also how gruesome it is going to be. The pacing of the film was great, moved from scene to scene well and there wasn't any scenes that slowed it done. It had a nice steady pace with the perfect fix of action and dramatic scenes. Oliver Stone's close ups during really emotional scenes were great, the whole shot would be the actors face and it really got you invested in that character during the close- up. The acting was pretty good for the most part. Kitsch, Johnson, Travolta, Hayek were really good; but Benicio Del Toro was brilliant. Blake Lively improved in this film, but sometimes her dialogue was really hard to watch. Overall I enjoyed this film a lot. The acting was good, the writing was good, and Oliver Stone's take on this story was good. I'm glad to see him go back to vintage Oliver Stone. I do recommend that people see this film. It's really good. Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch and Del Toro are really worth the price of admission and the movie is, lack of a better word, bad ass. 4 out of 5 stars.

But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizarding World, so everything they do must go as planned. After having seen HP6, I honestly didn\'t have great expectations in this one. I guessed it would be darker and scarier, as every HP movie has been darker and scarier than its predecessor. But HP6 was such a patchwork of scenes that didn\'t give you the feeling of a coherent work – I was afraid the even more complex story line of HP7 would make an even less coherent movie. However, I must say it was definitely a wise decision to split the 7th book into 2 movies. HP7 can take time to explain and introduce all the characters that are necessary to the plot. I love the way Voldemort and the Death Eaters are portrayed in this movie. They are no longer just anonymous caped figures. You can see them interacting with each other, discussing and well… being human. Well, I\'m always a big fan of the blurring of these clearcut good/evil categories in Fantasy. As the book is split into 2 parts, all of a sudden, there\'s also time for little embellishments I hadn\'t realized I had missed in the earlier movies! For example, I loved the scene so much where the feather floated through the air when the fairy tale of the Three Brothers was being told. Also drawing style that was used during the story was really amazing. This HP movie was the first of all that finally gave me the same feeling as Lord of the Rings did: Boy, this is not just some guys slavishly adapting a book into a movie, but they\'re actually autonomous artists and they have ideas of their own! And I don\'t mean they changed the whole plot (I wouldn\'t like that)! But (mostly visually) they did more than just bring across what\'s in the book. This also expresses itself in the decision not to include the childish Harry Potter musical theme (at least I didn\'t hear it, correct me if I\'m wrong) from the first movie that sounds like “Wow, everything\'s so magical here!” That tune was fine for the first movie, but as Harry got older and the movies got darker, it kind of felt like they had to force this theme into every movie several times even though it didn\'t really fit any more. Now the soundtrack, too, has finally grown up. And I loved it! Last but not least, the acting was brilliant! The tense atmosphere between Harry, Ron and Hermione really came across. Also with all the doppelganger scenes, you always still saw from their movements and behavior which character was which though they were in disguise in a different body. All in all, as the title says, this is a excellent grown-up movie and I can recommend it to everyone – except kids! If you have little kids, please don\'t take them. This movie has far too many scary scenes and little comic relief! Plus, the plot is quit complex including lots and lots of minor characters. It\'s really no longer a movie targeted at kids, even though it\'s still labeled Harry Potter.$

They\'re chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town. If youve read the synopsis above, you pretty much know the long and short of Tony Scotts “Unstoppable”. Based on the real-life story of an unmanned train that went careening down the tracks in Ohio after a railroad employee failed to set the air brakes while switching tracks, this dramatization of that little incident amps up the thrills for a white-knuckle 100-minute non-stop roller-coaster ride- just think of it as an adrenaline shot that pretty much grabs you by the throat and doesnt let go from start to finish. The setup is plain and simple- on one end of the track is rookie conductor Will Colson (Chris Pine), paired with veteran railroad engineer Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington) on his first day of work. Frank and Will each have their own share of family problems and each bear their own reservations of the other- so theres a fair bit of tension between the two of them as they begin their shift, especially since Will is seen as the companys new blood employed to replace the older workers (including Frank) who have one by one been forced to retire. Then on the other end of the track, some bumbling employee gets off a train in an attempt to switch tracks, puts the stick in throttle and sends the massive locomotive whizzing down rural Pennsylvania towards the more heavily populated areas. Corporate- represented by Kevin Dunns VP of operations- and local ground operations- represented by Rosario Dawsons rail commander- cant agree how to stop it, the former as usual weighing the options in terms of dollars and cents on the stock market. It is only halfway through the film that Frank and Will cross paths with said locomotive nicknamed “The Beast” and come out with a plan to link their engine to the back to it and gun it in the opposite direction. Tony Scott spends the first half of the film doing two things- one, emphasising the working-class backgrounds of Frank and Will; and two, laying out bare the peril of the situation. Both are deftly played for the nail-biting finish, which is guaranteed to leave you wide-eyed and open-mouthed. By portraying Frank and Wills as everyday men with real concerns over livelihood and family, Scott and “Die Hard 4.0? writer Mark Bomback make the point loud and clear later on that that real-life heroes are really just ordinary men who do extraordinary acts of courage in the face of danger and calamity. Indeed, though it is apparent that both Frank and Will are the heroes of the story, playing down the chest-thumping heroics of their act proves to be a wise choice in painting them as regular people who rose to the occasion to save the lives of thousands, including their families and loved ones. Scott instead stresses the magnitude of the occasion in repeated failed attempts at halting “The Beast”, each and every attempt highlighting the destructive force of the locomotive at that weight and at that speed. Choosing to film the high-octane action sequences in a more straightforward realistic manner than his usual flashy visual style (i.e. jump cuts, shaky camera, zooms and colour-correction) also lends the proceedings an authentic and an altogether genuinely riveting feel, further underlining the gravity of their heroic act. Special mention goes to the sound design of the film, which in a proper theatre with good sound system will set the hall rumbling with the sound of the locomotive. Because much of the focus of the film is on “The Beast”, more screen time seems to be dedicated to the train than to our two lead actors, Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Still, the ever-reliable Denzel Washington delivers a low-key but no less commanding performance as the dutiful railroad worker Frank. He also shares a nice buddy chemistry with Chris, and its interesting to watch how the initial tension between the two gives way to mutual cooperation, understanding and finally respect. Unfolding at a breathless pace, Tony Scott makes the most of a simple premise to deliver a relentlessly exciting action movie that plays like “Speed” on tracks. It wastes no time in getting to the meat of the action, and doesnt once let up right until the end of the thrill ride. In between, you get the story of two men, folks like you and I, who display an outstanding act of heroism when faced with imminent danger. Precisely because they are so relatable, “Unstoppable” becomes so much more gripping, and youd be advised that this high-octane action movie is just the adrenaline fix you need for the week.$

Often when one of these movies come out, hordes of women beg their beau\'s to come to the cinema to no avail. luckily for us, this is a fresh new look at an otherwise female driven genre. Going the Distance takes a look at long distance relationships from a REAL perspective. None of this Hollywood glitz. None of these fairy tale endings w/ friends who say and do what the producers hope the audience want to hear. It\'s like your watching a docu-drama about funny people. This movie showcases events how they would actually happen. People how they\'d actually talk and relationships as unpredictable as they actually are. Another refreshing notion is how this movie is told, in the majority, from the male\'s perspective. Not entirely, but enough. It\'s told from a place where humor, booze and late night / post weekend b*tch sessions w/ close friends and/or relatives help weave together a romantic story in a funny way. It\'s just how life happens! I\'ve seen this movie and can contest that it is the perfect concoction of humor, fun, romantic moments and hard R moments to make it a good fit for most couples. And guys, this will be a great way to go see a Romantic Comedy for your girl and get something out of it for yourself. GIVE IT A CHANCE, AND YOU\'LL BE TELLING OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.$

I watched this movie tonight with my wife and kids, we really enjoyed this a lot, i found myself actually attached to the characters and intrigued by the plot. i also found myself entertained with the action scenes. my kids also enjoyed it, more so than they enjoyed the lame Alpha and Omega. I guess most of you know what the plot is, so i won\'t go into it. it is just fun and involves super powers and super heros battles. most of you are probably reading this to decide whether to go and see it or not, let me say, go ahead, it is worth it and enjoyable !! And i also like to add, we watched it in 2D, so im not sure how it is in 3D, but im assuming just as good if not better.$

Detective Mark Hoffman, who acts on his own as the Jigsaw becomes a more complicated enigma where by finding new victims to hoist his status. By killing more victims using the most innovative traps to date. What was even more complicated was Jigsaw\'s widow trying to bring Hoffman in with the help of the police department by keeping her safe from Hoffman\'s wrath after failing to kill him. Jigsaw did not want Hoffman to keep killing, in fact he abhorred it. The reason for this, was because Jigsaw\'s old acquaintances was involved with just Jigsaw. Never people who were not directly involved in any way. This is what Hoffman was doing. He was killing people who were not directly involved in his life as the doctors or lawyers or even policemen who were involved with the real Jigsaw. This turn of events led Jigsaw\'s widow to try and kill Hoffman by Jigsaw\'s information. Yet in the background, Hoffman was being watched by none other than the original survivor played Cary Elwes. A true complete person who became Jigsaw\'s real right hand man. By this alone, Jigsaw got what he needed to be done right, even though his wife was to be a casualty. Never the less this film is as always gritty with iron traps and hydraulic joists. One of the most popular movie genre\'s to this day. Tobin Bell, (Jigsaw) is always wonderful to watch as he reprises his role to give the audience what they crave, to see justice done by way of the chain, spike, chainsaw, ripsaw etc etc. Recommended to those who love gore, blood, justice, and the idea that not all people who are they seem to be. Especially Cary Elwes, what a great twist to a great movie. Everything comes in a full circle.$

$Watch Jackass 3D 123moviesFree-This movie is great. The jackass team re-unites for what seems to be the last one in the series. They are getting older, and after seeing this movie, I\'m surprised they are still in somewhat good health. You will laugh, cringe, and stare in awe at the spectacle that is Jackass 3D. Well first off, its exactly what you would expect. No story, just stunts and pranks, all in slow-motion 3D. There are some hilarious pranks and stunts (midget bar fight) and some disgusting ones (Poop Cocktail Supreme). Knoxville, Lacy, Bam, Wee-man, Steve-O, Pontius, Jonze and Dunn are all back and better than ever. For those who are weary about seeing it in 2D or 3D, its kinda hit and miss. Some stunts are great for 3D (especially the conclusion and bee-ball tether ball) and others do nothing to aid it. If you were to see it 2D, then your not missing anything. If you see it in 3D, then the extra 5 bucks will be worth it. I don\'t have many complaints about the movie. The slow-mo may have been used a little too often, there is a little too much male nudity in my opinion, and some stunts are just flat out gross (Poop Geysers). Overall, this movie is great. Its appalling, its crude, its grotesque and most off all, it will have you peeing your pants.$

I have been a fan of Ryan Combs since the Straight out of Compton days and I have literally watched his growth from movies I found amusing, to films that I remember in my everyday life. King Of The Avenue is a fantastic character movie. You actually fell like your part of this crew of men who have one thing on there mind, becoming the king. It\'s fun to watch them elevate to the top crew, but really, that\'s when the movie starts. I know this is a independent, but I think this is one of the best roles I\'ve seen Ving Rhames in. My girlfriend and I voted Ving Rhames as the last person we would want to run into in a dark alley, or a park on a nice summers day for that matter. Ving is awesome in this film.$

Like Frank they are all RED ... Retired Extremely Dangerous. In the film Bruce Willis plays Frank Moses, a man who is RED (Retired and Extremely Dangerous). Over a long period, hes had an over the phone relationship with a Kansas City receptionist named Sarah (Played by Mary Louise-Parker). After a rather intense invasion of his home by mysterious gunmen, he travels to Kansas City, and kidnaps Sarah, fearing that the people who want him dead, may also want to kill her, and also tries to always keep one foot ahead of a CIA agent named William Cooper (Played by Karl Urban). He seeks help from old, and equally dangerous friends such as Cancer-stricken, but intelligent Joe Matheson (Played by the legendary Morgan Freeman), excessively paranoid stealth-man Marvin Boggs (Played by John Malkovich), and caring, but fiery assassin Victoria (Played by Helen Mirren). This film really is, in every way, a mindlessly fun popcorn flick, filled to the brim with laughs, and reckless action sequences, kind of in the same category as Roland Emmerichs Independence Day, minus the aliens, and on a considerably smaller scale. The movie may present a bit of elements that has been seen in a number of films, but its stylistic approach, and clever wit is what makes it better than most of those. Aside from a great cast Ive mentioned earlier, it also includes appearances by other legends like Ernest Borgnine, Brian Cox, and Richard Dreyfuss. The main cast is really what makes it so great, such as Bruce Willis, whos definitely still got what it takes as an action star. Mary Louise-Parker could have been great, but as it goes, shes rather good. Helen Mirren is very effective in somewhat short screen time, as is Morgan Freeman, albeit to a fairly lesser extent. But the true standout is John Malkovich, whose character is so fun, so bizarre, and utterly, and hilariously paranoid (Often for nothing but good reasons). Its oh-so enjoyable, reckless, witty, and brimming with action. The cast specifically get a lot of laughs...$
